I design onboarding backwards from the "aha moment" - when users first experience core value. Every step guides users toward that moment as quickly as possible. No unnecessary forms or tutorials.

Progressive disclosure keeps users engaged. We show just enough to get started, revealing advanced features as users need them. Overwhelming new users kills conversion.

Interactive walkthroughs beat static tutorials. Users learn by doing, not reading. Each action builds confidence and investment in the product.

I track every onboarding step. Where do users drop off? What features do successful users engage with? This data continuously improves the flow.

Personalisation makes a huge difference. Different user types get different paths. A marketing manager sees different features than a developer. Relevance drives engagement.

The results speak for themselves. My onboarding flows typically achieve 60-70% trial-to-paid conversion rates, double the industry average.
