How I delivered a complex financial management platform in 12 weeks after another agency failed. From anxious client to a confident launch!

The Challenge

A finance company came to me after a previous agency had spent an entire year on their SaaS platform without delivering anything. Understandably apprehensive about engaging another vendor after such a disappointing experience, they needed reassurance that this time would be different. The platform itself was technically demanding, requiring complex currency conversions, time zone handling across multiple regions, sophisticated user permissions, in-depth reporting capabilities, and watertight security throughout. This wasn't going to be a simple build, and the client knew it.

The Solution

After some negotiating, the client took a chance on HiTide and we got to work. I tackled the finicky complexities of currency conversions and time zones head-on, whilst building out multiple permission levels for different user types. Security was baked into every decision throughout development, and the reporting features gave them the insights they needed to run their business effectively. After 12 weeks of solid work and thorough testing, we went live. The platform now has customers actively signing up and using it. It's operating successfully on two fronts: generating revenue through licence fees whilst simultaneously acting as a powerful lead generation tool for their higher-value consultancy services.
