I can save you from...

Spreadsheet Hell

  • Spreadsheet hell definition: Running parts of a business using numerous, complicated spreadsheets that drain everyone's time, lifeforce and block scale.

Too much time is spent managing spreadsheets

You and your team are busy! But not all of it is "good busy". Some of that day to day, week to week is a delicate orchestrated exercise in spreadsheet management.

It started as the right tool for the job. Spreadsheets after all are flexible, easy to change and quick to set up but, past a point, your company grows out of them - your processes expand beyond what rows, columns and colour coding can handle.

You may now be finding - your spreadsheets are complicated. Eat of hours of time. New starters don't seem to get them. People always make mistakes. And the number of spreadsheets keeps growing!

Imagine being free from spreadsheets

Instead of you working hard in your spreadsheets, imagine a system that instead works hard for you.

That takes up minimal time. Automates the boring bits. Is easy to learn. Is hard to delete the wrong data. Connects to your other apps. Is secure and backed up.

How much time could you save? How much peace of mind could you gain?

I can replace your spreadsheets with a bespoke software application that automates your work

I will create a bespoke software system for you that will replace your spreadsheets AND - Automate processes to save time. Generate reports to gain insight. Connect with your other apps to make life easier AND more!

How it works is simple:

Planning & design - your business depends on the processes you've developed over the years. Here we'll be planning what your new system needs to do at its core and what we can add to supercharge your work.

Main build - is where we'll get hands-on building your system. We'll need you from time to time for help with questions on finer details, testing and feedback.

Go live & support - lastly, we'll get all your data from your spreadsheets in the system and go live! After launch day we'll stay with you to help settle in.

And when all your data is in one place in a shiny new system, we can do some pretty cool things like connect with your other apps, automate things, integrate with AI and more!

Past builds include:

  • Proposal & invoicing system
  • Custom CRM
  • Shift management app
  • Business management portal
  • Internal recruitment system
  • Event management platform
  • Content management system
  • Automated outreach tool
  • Event ticketing platform
  • Reporting dashboard
  • DBS checking app

Each project has saved 100s of hours every year.

Life after spreadsheets and winning back 80% of your time

We can't alwways just automate everything but we can automate a lot! Especially the "donkey work". We aim to save you at least 80% of the time you currently spend in spreadsheets. So if it's 10 hours a week, we aim to get that down to 2 hours a week. Use all that extra tiem to grow the business

Testimonials

Hitide were quick to understand the project requirements, which were extensive and complex, and worked quickly to implement them. Communication was excellent throughout, with Hitide providing early demos of functionality so that any modifications or other types of changes could be addressed early on in the process.

I would absolutely recommend Hitide to anyone considering a web application build.

The process was very smooth. It’s rare in software development in my experience to be able to produce a system as complex as the one that was delivered in this project with as little friction, and as close to timeline, as was achieved with Hitide.

Two of the key reasons HiTide was easy to work with was the clear and honest communication, as well as the reliability. We had previously had a number of challenges so as project lead I entered into this agreement with my guard up to a certain extent, but was very quickly reassured.

If you want to work with a clear, honest, reliable team that understands commercial aspects of project delivery including ROI, I would recommend.

About πŸ‘‹

Hey πŸ‘‹, I'm Joe Peel; I'm truly passionate about getting technology to work harder for people!

Too often I see people become slaves to their laptops and bogged down in work (especially spreadsheets!). This work is often important but some of it at least, is usually better suited to software tools.

I've spent 15,000 hours developing software and now use those coding skills to help businesses win back hours every week and enhance their productivity.

Questions

How long will it take?
Every project is different so it's hard to say until we've spoken and got at least an outline. Most projects take though between 2 and 4 months. This is to allow time for planning, testing and feedback too.
How much will it cost?
Again this is hard to say until we've spoken. Most projects cost between Β£3,000 and Β£15,000. It's a reasonable up-front investment that will deliver a considerable return over time.
Are there additional costs?
Yes! To run any custom software project, you'll to pay monthly for things like a server, database/storage and backups. Usually these come in at around Β£70 per month but can be higher when using more complex integrations (like ChatGPT for example). You will also need to budget for support and maintenance which starts at Β£150 per month.
What if I'm not technical?
That's fine! I do most of my work with non-technical people. I'll explain everything in plain English, remove all tech jargon and make things as straightforward as possible.
What languages do you code in?
If you are technical, you may like to know that I code in Laravel (PHP), Vue (JavaScript) and Tailwind (CSS). These are powerful but common frameworks so if you need another developer or company to take over work on the project, finding talent to do so isn't an impossible task.
What's the first step?
Booking a call! It's a no-pressure, no-obligation call to discuss your business and goals, see if you like the sound of me and if I think I can help. If so, we'll discuss the next steps.

Limited availability

I only work with a very limited number of clients. If you've read this far and you want to do away with your spreadsheets - book a call and let's see if we'd be a match working together.
