Would you trust an intern with your most valuable clients?

AI is great and all but, needs careful management...

Would you trust an intern with your most valuable clients?

It's pretty much what some people are doing... with AI.

I heard the comparison once and it stuck - AI is like having a whole team of interns.

I like it. I agree.

Yes they can come up with great stuff and be really helpful BUT you need to filter their work.

This is why it scares me when I see companies hand off a stack of important work to AI tools and say - "off you go!".

If I had a team of interns, it would probably make sense that I :

- Don't have the interns be on the customer service end lines
- DO have them triage calls & emails

- Don't have then interns message your clients
- DO have them write draft emails that you then edit then send

- Don't have the interns write your blog for you
- DO have them perform research and spitball ideas

Still super valuable, but, they're not in a position to royally mess up and cause a load of damage.

So yer, treat your AI like a productive but sometimes incompetent workforce and things will be smoother.
